SAGO DEVELOPMENT
PELITA had been involved in Sago Plantation development since 1987 to realize the State target of having 250,000 hectares of commercial Sago Plantation by 2020, with 50,000 hectares of smallholders' farms being aggressively consolidated and rehabilitated. The focus of the development is in Mukah division. To date, a total of 13,946 hectares of peat land in Mukah had been designated and progressively developed into three Sago Plantation namely Mukah Sago Plantation, Dalat Sago Plantation, and Sebakong Sago Plantation.

Through rigorous Research and Development(R&D) activities, sago is expected to be the next State Golden Crop. PELITA through its wholly-owned subsidiary, CRAUN Research undertakes extensive R&D in both upstream and downstream development in sago industry.
